Enjoy a leisurely hike through the beautiful treelined squares of Mt Laurel on Thursday, March 28th at 5:30PM. This hike is a light 1 mile loop. After the hike, we’ll have wine, craft beer, and small bites. While you’re enjoying your vino or local beer, you’ll be able to hear the birds and watch the sunset over Double Oak Mountain.

Celebrate the fact that spring is in the air and join Coosa Riverkeeper on a unique hike around Mt Laurel's thoughtfully designed neighborhood. This social hike will be led by Alex Varner, the Nature Conservancy's Mountain Longleaf Pine Coordinator. Alex will discuss the native landscape as you hike the neighborhood around Mt Laurel's unique and individual squares.

After the hike, guests will experience the sunset views as you dine on wine, craft beer, local cheeses, and hors d'oeuvres from several restaurants. While you enjoy your vino, Karli Riley, Program Manager of the Coosa Riverkeeper, will discuss the organization's mission to protect the Coosa River and its tributaries.

Reservations are required and space is limited so please buy your tickets early.We will gather at the Coosa Riverkeeper office at 5:00 p.m. for socializing and the hike will begin at 5:30 p.m.

All proceeds from this event benefit the Coosa Riverkeeper's mission to protect, restore, and promote the Coosa River and its tributaries in Alabama.
